How LabLucid works

LabLucid is the patient layer for lab results. It turns a page of numbers into a clear, friendly explanation — in the patient’s language, under your brand — and lets them ask follow-up questions. It explains and helps patients prepare better questions for their clinician; it does not diagnose.

What it does

Given a set of lab results, LabLucid shows each value against its reference range, flags what’s outside range, writes a short plain-language overview, and answers the patient’s questions in a chat — in English, Spanish, and more. It never diagnoses disease, never prescribes, and always points patients back to their clinician for anything that needs medical judgment.

For patients

There are two ways a patient uses LabLucid:

You have a link from your lab. Open it — your results are already there, explained. Switch language any time, and ask questions in the chat. Nothing to install, no account.
You have a PDF report. Upload it at app.lablucid.com and get the same explanation and chat.

LabLucid provides educational information only. It does not diagnose disease or replace your clinician. If a result concerns you, contact your clinician.

For labs & clinics

LabLucid is white-labeled to you and meets your lab where it is today. You can start with zero integration and grow on your own timeline:

1 · Crawl

Patients upload their own report. Works with any lab today — no integration, no IT ticket. Good for validating value fast.

2 · Walk

Your system sends results to LabLucid via a simple API and gets back a link to give the patient. See the Lab API guide.

3 · Run

Full LIS / EHR / FHIR integration when it’s worth it — results flow automatically, the patient never uploads anything.

Privacy & boundaries

Patient access links are unguessable tokens and require no login. LabLucid is patient-first: the assistant clarifies results and suggests questions to bring to a clinician, and it stays firmly on the right side of the line — no diagnosis, no treatment advice. That boundary is the product.
